Insect oil

Insect oil has a favorable fat profile rich in unsaturated fatty acids.

The insect oil from NorInsects mealworm larvae is rich in the essential fatty acid linoleic acid (omega 6). It also contains myristic acid which has antimicrobial properties and can thus have positive effects on intestinal health.

NorInsect produces insect oil in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way. Our insects eat vegetable residues from the local food industry. The only residual product from our insect production is frass (mealworm excrement). We use this to produce organic fertiliser.
